Hannah Cho is an independent journalist who covers immigration policy and displacement. She has reported on topics ranging from a Ukrainian family’s reunification in the United States, to the troubling history of South Korea and Denmark’s adoption trade. Her work has been published in outlets including The Guardian, VTDigger and Dartmouth Alumni Magazine.

Cho grew up in Singapore, the United States, China, and South Korea. She holds a bachelor’s degree in comparative literature and a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University. She is HEFAT-certified to work in hostile environments through GJS Security, with support from the Simon and June Li Center for Global Journalism.

She is based in New York.
